Complete Spectrum of Treatments

|
Most IPL machines come with fixed filters in their handles for treatments such as hair removal and photorejuvenation. The Spectrum has a unique filter system which allows you to use the correct filter for your treatment.
|
420-1200nm - ACNE and (possibly) vascular
480-1200nm - Vascular (optional)
510-1200nm - Photorejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular
560-1200nm - Photorejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular
610-1200nm - Hair reduction and deeper pigmentation
640-1200nm - Hair reduction
690-1200nm - Hair reduction (darker skin types)
755-1200nm - Hair reduction (dark skin types)
We know that not every person is the same - that is why there are a range of filters allows you to treat your customers more effectively based on your knowledge of their needs.
Why a Spectrum of light is important

|
Light at different wavelengths penetrates the skin to different depths. If the area to be treated is deep or shallow you must use a different wavelength of light so that you can penetrate the skin to the correct depth. The roots of underarm and pubic hair grow deeper than chest or facial hair. It therefore makes more sense to use a filter that will penetrate deeper into the skin for pubic hair than it does for facial hair for example.
Pigmentation is an example where you might like to try the 510 and 560 filter on the first treatment to see which has the best effect as judging how deep the pigmentation is can be difficult to guage by eye alone. The same is true for almost every treatment you will perform so having a choice of filters available to you can be invaluabe in getting the absolute best results for your client.
|
The broadband light spectrum graph below also shows that there are different wavelengths of light that have the best absorbion for different treatments. A good example is hemoglobin (blood) which is represented by the red line on the graph above. It shows that the best absorbtion wavelength is 420nm but there are also peaks at 510nm and 560nm. Your decision on which filter to use is therefore going to be a choice between these three filters. Your final selection will then be based on the depth of the veins to be treated. Don't worry - once you have been trained it won't seem that complicated !

Selection of Spot Sizes
The Spectrum has four spot sizes to choose from: 12 x 12mm; 12 x 25mm; 12 x 35 and 15 x 50. The Spectrum 1200 comes with a 12 x 35 spot size as standard but you can purchase additional handles to suit your needs. We have a unique design in our handles that results in 100% power over every treatment head with zero peripheral loss. This means no overlapping which, in turn means less work for you and less cost per treatment!
Unique handle design
|
With an easy to use ergodynamic design, our handles use only the best American Xenon lamps. We have designed the handles so that you get 100% power across the whole spot and there is no need for overlapping during treatments.
The shot counter on the handle lets you know when you shoud be changing your handle easily.
Tiny water channels draw heat from both our heat exchangers and Xenon lamp giving the Spectrum its very efficient cooling system.

|
Adjustable Temperature Control
|
For most treatments you will want as cold a head as possible to reduce the discomfort of your client. However when it comes to vascular treatments you will generally not want cooling. The Spectrum has variable temperature control from +2 degrees C down to -4 degrees C. We have developed a very efficient cooling system which combines water and sophisticated cooling chips in the head.

RF Option available
A combination of IPL and RF has been shown to produce better results for both hair reduction and photorejuvenation. It also gives you a fighting chance of helping your clients with blonde hair that could not normally be treated for hair reduction. RF is available for a small extra charge. What is RF? click here
Modularised for easy repair
|
We don't want to think about our machines breaking down but it can happen. We have designed the Spectrum 1200 with Australian conditions in mind and have modularised the interior so it can be repaired by anyone - even a motivated husband. Australia is a big country and getting to you might not always be easy but with the modular interior we can get a local electrician to repair your machine - no experts required. We think Australian!
|
Full Spectrum of colours to match your salon decor!
|
It is not the most important feature of our incredible Spectrum 1200 but if you want your Spectrum spiced up a little to match your salon decor we can produce your IPL machine in any colour you want. There is a small extra cost but if you want to be that little bit different why not !

Detailed Specifications
|
Many manufacturers seem to be resistant to providing you with all of their specifications. You should insist that they provide these to you as it is almost impossible to judge machines without them. We will be happy to provide you with more information on request.
Make sure you also ask them for the price of spare parts before you buy. Wear Nothing are not interested in making money out of spare parts and any repairs will be very reasonably priced in the unfortunate event they are needed. |
